Revenue higher in H1 by 14.3%

Chennai, 29th October, 2008 -California Software Company Limited (Calsoft), today announced that its Board of Directors had taken on record and approved the un-audited financial results for the 2nd quarter (Q2) and First half year (H1 FY09) ended 30th September, 2008 of financial year 2008-09(FY09).

Healthy Topline Growth

  • Consolidated revenues for H1 FY09 were Rs. 130.12crore, reflecting a 14.3% growth over revenues in corresponding half-year last fiscal (Rs.113.89 crore)
  • Consolidated revenues for Q2 FY09 were Rs.70.98 crore, reflecting a 18.4% growth over the revenues in corresponding quarter last fiscal (Rs.59.94 crore)

Profit and EPS

  • For H1 FY09, the consolidated Net Profits after Tax (PAT) stands at Rs. 0.81 crore
  • Operating expenses for H1 FY 09 were Rs 121.47 Crore, higher than the corresponding period for FY 2007 by 18.9%
  • Depreciation and Amortization for H1 FY 09 were Rs.5.32 Crore, higher than the corresponding period for FY 2007 by 204%
  • Financial charges for H1 FY 09 were Rs 2.75 Crore, higher than the corresponding period for FY 2007 by 231%
  • Consolidated Earnings per share-basic (EPS) for H1 FY09 is Rs 0.65.

Business Highlights - for Q2 and H1 ended 30th Sept 2008

  • The split up of H1 sales revenues is follows:
    • Segment- wise:
      • Enterprise Solutions (inclusive of commodities solutions) -63%
      • Product Engineering Services (Technology solutions) - 37%
    • Geography:
      • N. America - 72%
      • Europe & UK -21%
      • Rest of the world including India - 7%
